Biting – a new dangerous sexual kink. Why are people outraged?
Biting is a controversial predilection that involves, as the name suggests, biting one's partner hard. It may be sexual or romantic preference.
There are as many sexual preferences as there are people. Out of pure politeness it is better not to look into other people's beds. But there are kinks more dangerous than others. The most common probably are feet fetish, choking and the one connected with peeing. Some people find it disgusting, brutal or degrading, others find it thrilling. But still - not very fancy.

Biting, on the other hand, is the kind of kink that is most likely to arouse objections, although it is not one of the fetishes that requires extraordinary preparation or creativity. Biting involves biting your partner very hard in order to leave marks on their body. Hardcore version of "love bites" both unhealthy and dangerous.
From biting to cannibalism
It should be clarified straight away: we are not talking about playful biting, but about biting that leaves permanent marks, scars and bruises on one’s body.
A Twitter post depicting bitten hands with the caption "I love romance" unleashed a storm. Does is come from "Twilight" books or movies overdose? Or is it maybe the return of the 2014 Tumblr aesthetic with redoubled force and extra dark energy? The origin of this kind of kink is not easy to pinpoint, but the fact remains, that people practice it.
Biting - Twitter users are concerned
One of the most popular quoted tweets warns:
"This isn't romance, girl, this is cannibalism!!! Run!"
There is a lot of criticism on the Polish side of Twitter too. People are surprisingly unanimous in their opinions on biting. The entries also raise the issue of security, or rather the lack of it when it comes to such practices.
Should biting be stigmatised? Taken to the extreme, it can indeed be dangerous - just like choking. We do not recommend kinkshaming, but all such 'fun' should be practised responsibly.
