A campus for those eager to learn a trade will be built in the next 2 years in a village in Maramureș.
In addition to classrooms, young people will have accommodation, a hall, sports fields, a park and a swimming pool. Furthermore, they will receive scholarships.

The investment amounts to 25 million euros, with a significant share originating from European funds. On an area of almost 8.64 acres in the village of Satu Nou de Sus in Maramureș, a campus for young people interested in learning a trade will be built by the end of 2025. There will be 300 accommodation places, and graduates can consider their future secured. The funding contract was signed yesterday by the Minister of Education.
Ligia Deca, Minister of Education: "Through this project, we provide hope for the future; you can learn a trade in extraordinary conditions and get employed at any time, after 3-4 years, but you can also pursue higher education if you have the potential".
The total value of the project is 25 million euros, with over 80% coming from European funds. The remainder is covered by the Maramureș County budget.
Ionel Bogdan, President of Maramureș County Council: "Every student who starts school here learns at least one trade; some will continue in partnership with universities".
A contract was also signed for the purchase of 31 electric minibuses for schools in the Maramureș villages, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
